Selection Process
A pre-defined selection process is followed by the State Bank group for this selection, comprising of 2 phases. Phase I consists of Objective and Descriptive tests and Phase II comprises of GD and Interview.
· Phase I: This phase comprises of an online objective test of 200 marks, followed by a descriptive test of 50 marks, for which questions will be available online but candidates have to write with a pen on the provided answer sheet.
a) Objective Test: This test is of 2 hours duration, comprising of 4 sections containing 50 marks each, distributed as given below:
§ English Language (Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, etc.)
§ High-level reasoning
§ Data Analysis and Interpretation
§ General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
b) Descriptive Test: This test is of 1 hour duration, involving English language test (essay writing, letter writing, short précis and comprehension) for a total of 50 marks.
Note: Candidates have to qualify in each section of the Objective test as well as the total cutoff to be eligible for the evaluation of descriptive test. Candidates qualifying in both parts of the Phase I will be eligible to appear for the Phase II of the selection procedure.
Phase II: This phase comprises of 2 tests, including GD for 20 marks and Interview for 30 marks. The qualifying marks for candidates to be selected after this phase will be decided by the Bank, following which the final selection process will be executed. In this part, total marks scored by the candidates in Phase I will be converted to equivalent marks if the total marks would have been 75, while the marks scored in Phase II will be converted similarly to be calculated for a total of 25 marks. The final merit list will be created, considering the total marks to be 100 and the same will be published to inform the selected candidates.
