SCRA 2015 Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The plan of the examination comprises of two parts, where candidates need to qualify in the first part to be eligible for the second part. A comprehensive description of the plan is discussed below to help candidates prepare for the test in a planned manner.
Part I: The first part of this examination carries a total of 600 marks and comprises of three papers, where each paper carries 200 marks and is of 2 hours duration each. The subjects covered under different papers are listed below:
o Paper I: The first test is focused to test the general abilities of candidates and comprises of 200 questions, including questions from general knowledge, English as well as psychological tests.
o Paper II: This paper covers the subjects related to Physical Sciences like Chemistry and Physics, which contains a total of 200 questions.
o Paper III: The third paper also comprises of 200 questions, based on the Mathematics subject to test the numerical abilities of the candidates.

Candidates selected on the basis of the above discussed
pattern will be enrolled in a 4-year Mechanical Engineering training program. At
the end of this program, SCRA selected candidates are granted a B.E. (Bachelor of
Engineering) degree in Mechanical Engineering with recognition from AICTE (All
India Council of Technical Education).
